"Photography
records the gamut of feelings written on the
human face, the beauty of the earth and
skies that man has inherited, and the wealth
and confusion man has created. It is a
major force in explaining man to man."

For
shooting assignment
#3 I want you to
concentrate on
composition. There
are many ways to
compose a
photograph. There
are
"rules"
that people often
use, but
ultimately the
composition of your
photograph is
entirely up to
you. This
exercise in
composition will
help you identify
aesthetically
pleasing
compositions when
photographing and
allow you to make
composition
adjustments based on
your own aesthetic
choices. You
may find yourself
already making these
composition
decisions when
framing your
images. Use
all 36 frames of
your film to explore
the following
composition
techniques:
Framing
Diagonal
or Crosslines
Rule-of-Thirds
Isolated
Subject
Filling
the Frame
50/50
/ Symmetry
Centered
Focal
Point
Shoot
at minimum one
picture for each
technique (some
pictures may utilize
more than one
technique
simultaneously).
